Something to work on

Well, I wanted to do a very special project for my parents now that I have the materials. I ended up whipping out the big eraser and starting over completely. You know what I learned?

I can't draw realistic people to save my life. XD

So it's without doubt something I'm going to work on now that I have a new sketch book to work in. I think I'll practice people a bit more, but I'll try animals and objects too. Hell, I like learning. =D

So as far as the project goes, since I can only seem to draw dogs and cats realistically worth a damn, I'm going to paint a very special canine in water colours. I've sketched this dog once or twice before, so it shouldn't be too hard. I just can't use my original idea of dad and the dog together until I get better with people.

Wish me luck!

I honestly don't know what hurts most: seeing my dad cry for only the second time in my entire life, or knowing that my little dog (practically my little sister) is going to have to be put down an hour from now...

I guess I never lost it till now because it didn't click that I'd never see the little wiggly love bug ever again; until I heard the verdict today after school. I don't think I've cried this hard in years...

Well, as I've told some of my friends, my dog has cancer. It's progressing super rapid... in two weeks the tumor went from one the size of a quarter, to two each the size of golf balls. You can even feel a third forming...

Sarah, our vet, said this time there is no saving Lulu. The first tumor was already internal and she warned that it may come back. When it did it was so internal that only massive surgery would save her: surgery Sarah says Lulu wouldn't survive anyway because of the blood loss.

So at this rate, I don't expect Lulu to be around much longer. Our little fury friend is passing. She's already having problems with her bladder because of the cancer and it's only a matter of time befor it goes to her kidneys. With the rate of progression we've already noticed, she may pass over christmas break.

Yes, I think I'm bipolar. Because now I'm going to re-direct attention on happy things.

Next week is thanks giving, which means my family will be running up to my Nana's house to play the wii and eat lots of food. I'll probably go into my annual turkey coma on the floor in the recroom (I'm virtically challenged, yet the couch is too small for me to sleep on. Go figure).

... I wonder how many times it will take dad this year to figure out he just can't win against my Nana at Wii Sports.

I'm also thinking of doing a short childrens book staring my little plushie Henry. It will be a book about cherishing the things you have and about being unique- because I'm wierd and have no other plot line in mind. XD

...gives me an excuse to draw plushies. XD

So I would like to ask, what are all my friends doing for their Thanks Giving's?

A Rant

I've been thinking a lot this afternoon. It's come up a lot lately. But how is it that some people get so engrosed in their own worlds, warped fantasies, that they can throw away their own lives and try to tear other people down with them? How can some people get such twisted views of the world that they think that they're invincible, always safe from harm, and that nothing can ever happen to them even when they're playing russian rullet? How is it that other people get such twisted views that they think killing hundreds of people is doing the work of god, that they're helping people by bringing them to death's doors?
I think we as a species, all humans from an early age, need to get our minds entwined and wrapped around the idea of different cultures. Many of us need to be slapped, many of us are too far lost in their twisted fantasies and need to be forgotten. Some of us need a wake up call, all of us need to keep our minds open to what goes on in: society, the world, and with other people.
And a lot of us need to remember this as well: If it can happen to someone, it can happen to you. Don't go around playing 'sex' in highschool, thinking it's just going to go away when you graduate: because it won't. Don't go walking out on the ice just because you think you can, because you'll be the one who falls through. And don't shun someone because they aren't like you, because they could be having a lot harder time then you.
